Apricot Kernel oil is a fine textured oil that is easily absorbed into the skin.  It has excellent nourishing and soothing properties and is high in vitamins and essential fatty acids.

Beeswax is a natural emulsifier that helps to bind ingredients together to produce a smooth consistency. Beeswax is a natural emollient helping the skin to retain moisture and has wonderful skin soothing and softening properties.

Borage seed oil, also known as Starflower oil, is deeply nourishing and moisturizing.  It is an incredible source of essential fatty acids, in particular rare GLA (Gamma linolenic acid) which helps to smooth and nourish the skin.

Renowned for its soothing properties, calendula oil is widely used in treatments for dry, cracked or damaged skin.  It is often recommended for use in the treatment of eczema    and is gentle enough to use on the most sensitive skin.

Chamomile essential oil is renowned for it's ability to calm and soothe the skin.  It is a must for delicate, inflamed or sensitive skin types.

Coconut oil is renowned for its emollient and soothing skin properties.  It provides a wonderful texture to  balms as it melts on contact with the skin.

Frankincense essential oil is renowned for its benefits to the skin.  It is known as a cytophylactic which means it encourages the growth of new skin cells.  This makes it an invaluable oil for dry, mature, scarred or wrinkled skin.

Jojoba oil is actually a golden coloured wax that is liquid at room temperature.  It mimics the skin's natural sebum and
is very beneficial for both oily and dry skins.  It is used in the treatment of many skin conditions including eczema.

Lavender oil must be the most famous of all essential oils.  It is so gentle and yet has the most incredible properties, not least for the skin!

It is widely used for the natural treatment of burns, wounds, headaches and insomnia.  It is also used to aid in the healing of scar tissue and stretch marks.

Lemon essential oil is one of my favourites!  Its scent is so refreshing and uplifting.

It is a fantastic astringent, counteracting the over production of sebum and has excellent antibacterial properties.

May Chang essential oil has an intense lemony scent that really lifts the spirits!

It has excellent antiseptic, astringent and deodorising properties making it a perfect addition to a cleansing routine.

Neroli essential oil is one of the most beautiful and rare oils you can buy.  It is widely used in the treatment of anxiety and depression and to aid restful sleep.

Neroli is a wonderful oil for the skin.  It is incredibly soothing and is used to help to reduce redness and irritation. It stimulates the growth of new skin cells and helps to reduce scars, stretch marks, fine lines and wrinkles.

Orange essential oil is cold-pressed from the zest of the fruit.  It has the most cheery, refreshing citrusy scent and is widely used in the natural treatment of depression and anxiety.  It has antiseptic properties but is also very soothing. It is particularly beneficial for soothing dry or irritated skins.

Persian rose essential oil is steam distilled from thousands of rose flowers.  It is said that it can take 4000kg of flowers to make 1kg of essential oil!  It is incredibly rare and expensive for this reason.

Rose oil is the most wonderful oil for the skin.  It has excellent emollient, softening and hydrating properties making it a perfect addition to a skincare routine for mature, dry or sensitive skins. 

It is extremely beneficial for broken capillaries and redness.

Rose Geranium essential oil is a wonderful oil for balancing dry and oily skin conditions.

It helps to reduce scar tissue and stretch marks making it a must for damaged or delicate skin.

Rosehip seed oil has an incredibly high proportion of essential fatty acids and is said to have rejuvenating properties that help in the formation of new skin cells, making it a must for mature, ageing or damaged skin.

It helps to soften and reduce scar tissue, stretch marks, fine lines and wrinkles.

Rosewater is made at the same time as Rose essential oil.  Distilled water is passed through rose flowers in the form of steam.  The essential oil molecules are trapped in the steam and then collected.  The water is used many times over and the result is the most delicate, beautiful floral water containing all the minute elements of the rose that have been left behind.

It is incredibly calming and soothing for all skins. 

It is particularly beneficial for dry, red, irritated or sensitive skins.

Natural-source vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant   that helps to fight free radicals and protect against environmental damage to the skin and premature ageing.

It is particularly beneficial for mature, dry and damaged skin types.

Japanese White Camellia oil has been used for centuries to soften and protect the skin, hair and nails.
